In the SoW provided by the Customer it was specified that residential area for military personnel on Serpent Island in the Black Sea should be designed considering use of nonconventional power sources, such as eolic diesel generators.

Project on construction and engineer support of residential area for military personnel comprises the following:

• Construction of eolic diesel power supply system facilities;
• Construction of facilities complex for: heat supply system, water supply and water discharge systems;
• Construction of a helipad for “MI-8";
• Construction of a landing;
• Construction of car and access roads.

For the first time at the CIS territory an idea of independent operation of high-capacity eolic generators, as well as their operation in parallel with diesel generators had been implemented due to the control system supplied by the SMA Company (Germany).
