The Spent Nuclear Fuel Interim Storage Facility “ISF-2” is being currently constructed at the territory of the State Specialized Enterprise “Chernobyl NPP”.

Documentation for the construction in question had been elaborated as a part of the international financial and technical support provision, based on the Grant Agreement signed between EBRD, the Government of Ukraine and SSE Chornobyl NPP on November 12, 1996. “HOLTEC International” (USA) was appointed to be a supervising company.

The objective of the Project is to increase overall safety of the ISF-2 Nuclear Facility in compliance to the effective Nuclear and Radiation Safety Rules and Regulations.
